372 all-day parking spaces ($4.95 for Metro riders); 10 short-term spaces. A Park & Lock lot has opened at the corner of Southern Ave. and Banks St., NE. The daily parking fee is $4. The lot is operated by Safe Haven, Inc., and is not affiliated with Metro. Safe Haven also runs complimentary shuttle service from the lot to Capital Heights station from 5 to 10 a.m. and from the station to the lot from 3 to 7 p.m. To reach the lot from Central Ave., turn right on Southern Ave., left on Banks St. and right on 62nd St. The lot is on the right side of the street. From East Capitol St., turn left onto Southern Ave., left on Banks St. and right on 62nd St.
